This is a statement of intent
My fear of man has gone to bed, and better said left to die
The soil turned and tried and other things pushing out to the sky
They were always mustard seeds in my mind
But now they’re turning to fields
Pulling back the curtain and seeing the yield
Things that have been growing for a long time
And are ready to explode
Like a fire shut up in my bones
And I’m burning to death keeping it in.

This is a statement from the heart
It’s soft and stark, fight and flight
Prayer and point
And now I pray with my eyes open
Because hope’s in motion.
To confess the less and cry for more
To repent and implore
With every cell shut up in my blood
Drawing lines in shallow mud
And praying they’ll become foundations
Blueprints for nations, HEALED.
As my fingers spell out His name
Longing for it to sink deep into your veins and rewire your brains.

This is a statement of the truth
A roaring Lion let loose and now He’s setting your bones
Using His teeth to strengthen your knees when they’re impossibly shaken
 and now He’s holding you up brazen
Cryptic words and motions
Alluring movements capturing focus
And hitting you in your belly where you can hear it
Bypassing the brain to believe it
A sacrament and a sign
Pointing to the unravelling of time and it’s End
In the words I’m lost but in the Name it’s clear
And He’s drawing near
And He’ll be our light 

Jesus Christ.
